• We have low pile carpet too and it picks up all dirt, doesn't leave anything behind. Just make sure you have it on the right setting for low pile carpet (#1).

• I use this vacuum on hard floors, entry rugs, low carpet, and high carpet and it does not leave any dirt behind on any surfaces. I have only used it twice but so far so good all over the house.
