“What is the actual service life and how often do these get rev for warranty repairs. In the past I have never had a Gisselle that lasted more than a few uses so I am highly hesitant to buy this but I like the idea as steam mop pads only hold so much dirt”

We have used this device pretty often since buying. We love it as it vacuums and mops at the same time. Leaves the flor clean and with no small dirt particles left behind. Clean up of the device is super easy and fast.

I purchased a new Pet Pro version (3-year warranty), the day my Crosswave stopped working because I could not be without it for the anticipated 2-3 week repair time. Just received a phone call that my warranty repaired Crosswave is ready for pickup. I will now have upstairs and downstairs CrossWaves :) ;).

You can always go to the manufacturer's website and ask them about their warranties. I know, lots of work but if you find something with few parts and it is easy to use then you will have a winning purchase. We like Bissell because they make better products than steam mops!
