• Yes, the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Upright Vacuum does have an on/off switch for the roller. It also has an automatic shutoff for the roller when the vacuum is locked upright.

• Yes, the vacuum cleaner does have an on/off switch for the roller bar. It also shuts off when it is shifted back to upright position. Hope this helps !
