A:Answer I never do that with a rechargeable device or battery. Once the vacuum is charged, the charging indicator light goes out and you should unplug it right away. With other units, you can leave it connected to the charger which also serves as a table or wall mount, like in the case of the Black+Decker Pivot vacuum. In that instance, once the unit us charged, the charger turns off so there is no risk of overcharging.
