• In/on cloth. However I recommend looking on Amazon. This deposits to much water. More than my last simple steam mop. I will try BISSELL Power Steamer Heavy Duty 3-in-1 Steam Mop and Handheld Steamer. I wish Best Buy had more steam mop options as I am a loyal customer.

• It comes with two reusable heavy duty covers. You can buy extras as well. When you're done, throw them in the washing machine.

• The dirt stays on the floor in the form of dirty water you have to mop it and then remove and wash the mop pad as you do with a regular mop.
