Glad you asked! For the PowerFresh Steam Mop we recommended distilled water be used.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They recommend distilled water, but I use tap water and have had no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use distilled water due to the minerals in the tap water (Lake Mead). Most municipalities have minerals from their water source and utilize some levels of chemicals to treat the water so distilled water will likely work best.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I read a lot about this, and found it's best to use filtered water when possible. So easy to fill with a bottle of water or from my fridge water filter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use tap water but they recommend using distilled water for best performance. I use tap water in mine and still works just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it says distilled only - after a year or so it says minerals will build up. I've only had mine about 3 months & have used tap water...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you everyone for your replies. In comparison to a number of steam floor cleaners and accessories, this one looks like the right fit. I've been meaning to upgrade the kitchen water purifier so handy to know too that is an option too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the instructions tell you to fill it up with tap water. If you use tap water to clean the rest of your house, and steam kills any unwanted things in water that you wouldn't drink.
