• Although it does technically vacuum while it’s cleaning. It would be better to vacuum the area first with normal vacuum and then proceed to clean. Reason being is the internal components (pipes, tubes and pump) are sensitive to clogging if bigger pieces of debris are picked up.

• This machine is for washing the carpet. It’s best to vacuum first. This mainly works better when there isn’t much debris on the floor.
