For any type of stain, I prefer to use any bissell/oxy spray. Most are pre-treater. The absolute best are the ones that are in a spray can. There are some in spray bottles too. They are very good as well. But I've never found anything that works better or faster then the stuff in the can. Any stain spray it. You can scrub some but seldom have to. Come back in a little while it's gone. Can wait for it to dry and vacuum up. Or can use carpet cleaner whenever you wish. (I cleaned up black tattoo ink that had spilled on a large pillow wedge then sat and set for a couple months after someone took the pillow out to the garage, so wouldn't get on anything else). If not stained any of the basic Bissell carpet cleaners will work. For best smelling can use the bissell with febreze or the Bissell with Gain scent to them. They also have cleaning fresh scent boosters you can add. I know one of them was cranberry I don't remember what the other scents were.
