I just suck up clean water and it does the job. No problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I fill up a large bowl with warm water and just place the nozzle inside the bowl of water and just let it suck the warm water through to flush the hose. After every couple uses I use warm bleach water to help kill any germs then flush with warm water again.

Basically, you should clean it after use, and do not let it sit around without being cleaned or dirt/grime/waste will dry up on the inner workings of the unit making it about impossible to clean. Cleaning primarily involves running the unit in hose mode and running warm perhaps hot water (follow the directions) down the hose until the waste tank is full. Rinse/repeat as needed until you're comfortable that it is clean. Here's a video of how to clean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBtuLLi--SA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I only used mine once but was concerned about nasties building up in the hose so I put the machine on the floor, ensured the dirty water container was attached, turned the sink water on, put the hose under the water, and turned the hose button on. I did that until the hose looked clean. ** Disclaimer: I’m not sure what Bissel would say about my method so do it at your own risk **
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Chris - suction a small amount of clean water and formula using the hose from a bowl. This will help to clean out the hose and suction path. Just make sure not to over fill the tank as water will be filling it quickly.
