Thank you for your question. With the door closed the crumb tray will slide into a small opening on the undercarriage of the toaster oven. There is a lip on one side of the crumb tray. This lip should be facing away from the door when the tray is inserted.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My instructions tell you to slide it in under the door with the notch to grab on the outside. That's a slot that you cant really see right under the door, on the outside of the oven.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. The tray's a bit sticky and there's a black plastic part on the outside that looks like a latch but it's just confusing. I got it out by pushing from the inside at the same time I gently tugged from the outside.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I finally got mine to slide in. I did have to close the door and made sure the lip of crumb catcher was facing up. It was a hard push but I got it slide in finally!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I finally got my tray out by lifting up the end closes to front and pulling. I think it was advanced too far in and the lip on the front got stuck. Now I don’t push it in too far, there is a lip on the front of the tray that should stop forward movement.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should have been packed with the crumb tray already installed. You aren't by chance trying to slide the drip tray in the bottom? My crumb tray slides right out and back in with no problems, and the drip tray slides into the bottom of the baking rack. That's my only thought about that! Hope it helps!
