Q: QuestionI have the BlackBerry Priv and love it. My service provider does not carry this brand anymore so I will have to switch providers. Will this unlocked BlackBerry work on AT&T service? What are the other providers it is compatible with?

• A:Answer Yes it does. However, at the Verizon store I went to activate it, the manager and one other associate said no, BUT i was fortunate enough that a 3rd associate had personally owned one at one time and activated it successfully for me. The quality of Verizon personnel ranges greatly. It DOES work on Verizon's network. A great phone if you need an actual keyboard which I do.

• A:Answer Only if UNL (unlocked). I put the SIM card from Consumer Cellular service and it works texting, emails, Internet as well. See image receipt and the first letter as UNL you can buy then put Verizon SIM card. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer I went to the ATT store. They adjusted the SIM card. Was in and out of the store less than 15 minutes. Phone was ready to take calls. I bought my phone at Best Buy. In addition I have ATT pro tech. They were excellent helping me with the set up and data transfer. Highly Recommend the service. They called me back in a few days to make sure I was adjusting.

Q: QuestionCan the OS be updated? Right now I'm using a Priv and the OS is so outdated it's ridiculous but it no longer updates. The key 2 is what was recommended to me, but I see it too is running on an outdated OS.

• A:Answer Hello,  The Key2 promised to deliver two OS upgrades and so far they've delivered one, Oreo. So hopefully they do Pie next. I read a blog that said they may not do it but I hope they do. The good news is that they will continue with the monthly security updates for about another year.  This phone will be good for that long and more. Related to your phone the Priv, I'd say you should strongly consider buying this phone. The Key3 is the next one we're supposed to buy.  That said, I bought this key2 LE on Cyber monday at a great price and love it. A nice upgrade for my rather old KeyOne. And the Champagne gold color is great.  So I basically got last year's phone for half price, not a bad deal. I also have the Key2 silver one too.  But love (and still do) are the looks and comments I get whenever people see the phone. Hoping they do a Key3, go BlackBerry Mobile.  Thanks, Jon

• A:Answer There is a version that is Dual SIM and will read both the T-Mobile and AT&T SIM cards. The version you are looking for is BBE100-5 and is a North America version.

• A:Answer I have been going round and round with this same question. My last (10th) Palm Treo 755p mysteriously stopped working and I'm frantic to find a comparable keyboard phone. Just yesterday I got a written "chat" confirmation from Verizonwireless.com that they support GSM/Blackberry phones. Specifically both the Key 1 & 2. I've had differing answers from Verizon 800 Support and store clerks. The latter all advised utilizing https://www.verizonwireless.com/onedp/byod#/deviceType with the phone IMEI. But getting the IMEI from a vendor has been problematic. And they refuse to test it themselves. Idiots. BUT, they have free shipping and I can get a Walmart extended warranty. With BestBuy looks like I have to drive 300 miles just to get the device.... and pay more as well. :( Anyone, the answer to your Q is YES. But test the IMEI with Verizon ASAP and return it if they refuse it. Good luck, to both of us!

• A:Answer Good luck because Verizon is still dependent on CDMA for a data network. Hence the reason Verizon customers will always pay more than AT&T. (p.s. I used to work for Verizon).
