It is not airport security compliant. You must check it in your luggage. This is from experience.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you cannot fly with a BlendJet. It is not TSA carryon nor checked baggage compliant. Why? (1) The blade cannot be separated from the motor. (2) The rechargeable lithium ion battery in the base prohibits it from being in checked luggage. It’s a cute blender but isn’t a one-stop travel solution. It also doesn’t have a lot of chopping power. It’s been best for quick powder protein shakes or making dressing when I don’t want to bring out the big blender. If you don’t have a way to properly clean it and rinse it while running around, don’t bring it. My family has owned about 5 of these and we had to wait months for the recalled motor replacement this past year.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had mine confiscated. Brand new; never used. DO NOT believe the BlendJet team—this cannot go on a plane and cannot be checked!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too had my Blendjet 2 confiscated by TSA. They cited the fact that the blade was attached. The issue with the Blendjet 2 is that you cannot detach the blades causing an issue. You cannot put it in your checked bag due to the built in lithium battery and technically it fails the TSA inspection because the blade cannot be removed from the base and wrapped independently. Lost $50 due to poor advice. Can TSA let it slide, yes, however, are they required to, NO! I hope this helps. You're taking a $50 chance that may leave you upset at the security checkpoint traveling with this item. I'm awaiting now to see if Blendjet will at least send me another as they endorse taking it with you in their FAQ page. I feel this is negligent advice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cannot be taken on a plate.... PERIOD! Unfortunately, as many of us purchased them for exactly this reason... portability. However, as stated below since the blades cannot be removed it is not compliant for carryon and since the lithium battery is attached to the blades but cannot be checked, it cannot go into your checked bags either. Super frustrating! We need a version with either removable blades or a removable battery!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. How can you check it if it has a lithium battery? Is the battery removable?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there! Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in making BlendJet your travel partner. The best way to ensure you don't run into any issues while traveling through airports is to bring your BlendJet in your checked bag without any liquid inside. Our customers tell us they take their BlendJets on planes all the time so you should be good, but to be safe, we do always recommend reaching out to inquire directly with the airport. - Safe travels!
