QuestionDo I need the whole Blink system to operate this camera, or is it a stand alone that I can use with my phone?

- Answer The Blink Outdoor camera would require the sync module to operate, the sync module would ship with the Blink Systems/Kits, this is just the add-on camera to be added to any existing Blink System, it would not ship with the sync module needed.

QuestionHow much does it cost to replace the battery? What type of battery does it take?

- Answer The battery-operated Blink cameras are shipped with two non-rechargeable AA 1.5v Lithium batteries and they’re easy to replace when the time comes. Simply open the battery compartment, take out the old batteries, and insert the new set. Blink camera batteries should be replaced by Energizer Ultimate 1.5v Lithium AA batteries or the equivalent. You can purchase any two AA lithium batteries to replace yours if needed and they can be purchased from nearly any grocery or convenience store for about $2 each.

- Answer You are able to add the Blink Mini, Blink Outdoor or Blink Indoor to your existing Blink System. If you are adding the Blink Mini, Blink Indoor and Outdoor cameras to an existing Blink Account that has been activated on or before 4/15/2020, you will be grandfathered into your current free cloud storage model in the Blink app. Accounts activated after 4/15/2020 will receive motion alerts and be able to enter Live View for free, but will will require either local storage via the Sync Module 2 or a subscription for cloud storage to save videos.

- Answer You are able to add Blink cameras to your existing Blink System at anytime. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.

- Answer This is the Blink Outdoor 1-camera system that would ship with one Blink Outdoor camera and the sync module required for operating the Outdoor camera The other is the add-on Blink Outdoor camera to be added to any existing Blink System. The add-on camera does not ship with the sync module needed to operate the Blink Outdoor camera.

- Answer Yes The New Indoor and Outdoor Blink cameras can be added to an existing Blink System. Plus, if adding Blink Indoor and Outdoor cameras to an existing Blink system that has been activated on or before 4/15/20, you will be grandfathered into your current free cloud storage model in the Blink app. Systems activated after 4/15/20 will receive motion alerts and be able to enter Live View for free, with the option to access video recordings in the Blink app through a cloud storage subscription. Local Storage options are available with the Sync Module 2 and a removable USB storage drive. The sync module 2 will still function like a traditional sync module, compatible with all generations of Blink cameras, however, only Blink Indoor and Outdoor and Blink Mini cameras will be compatible with local storage functionality. All other generations of cameras (indoor, XT and XT2) will be cloud based if/when they are added to the sync module 2

- Answer The Blink Systems (including the Blink Mini) do currently require a 2.4ghz wifi-based Internet connection to operate. Blink is not compatible with wifi networks broadcasting a 5ghz signal.

- Answer You can add it to the same account but you will need to have it operating on a separate system since it will be in a separate location. You will need to have another sync module as well at the separate location to connect to your WIFI.

- Answer The Blink Outdoor camera is compatible with local storage functionality, which allows you to back up videos in your home to the Sync Module 2 when you insert a USB flash drive. Additionally, you can use the Battery Expansion Pack-coming soon- with Outdoor, to allow your camera to run on four batteries instead of two, extending battery life by up to two extra years.

- Answer Yes. I have the XT sync module and I bought this camera and it connects easily just like the original cameras that came with the XT system. The newer camera does have a couple additional features which is kinda cool.

- Answer For the interior of a garage, I think it could be either of the 2 options, if it is an indoor camera, as long as it is protected from water is enough. On occasion, with Blink cameras, I also struggle to connect. It seems to me that sometimes it can be poor WiFi range.
