• They are wireless. Only need to plug in for power

• The camera connects wirelessly to the network, but has a power connector, not a battery. So...it is wired to power, but wireless to the network/Internet. You will have to plug it in somewhere near a wall plug or have power run to it. On the up-side, you will not have to worry about replacing batteries.
