• I'm pretty sure you need the kit because the camera connects to a small unit that sits inside your house and that small unit connects to your router, and the info is sent and controlled by the Blink app that is installed on your phone

• You would need to purchase the Blink System package that comes with the Blink sync module needed to operate the Blink cameras. You can certainly use the Blink System and the Ring system together in the same location however they do not integrate with each other.
