• Yes, the phone can be used on your current boost mobile account. Boost Mobile is a prepaid cell phone company, so their phones are prepaid phones.

• Boost Mobile is classified as a prepaid service, which is why they call it prepaid. Make sure you buy the BOOST MOBILE version of the Galaxy S8 (not the Factory Unlocked--it's GSM unlocked, not CDMA which is required by Boost) and you're fine. Note that Boost does not work on the Plus. Once you buy the phone it works right out of the box, just activate it on Boost's website. This will also deactivate whichever phone you're currently using so make sure to do whatever you need to on the old phone before you switch over.
