According to Bosch, the dishwasher uses condensation drying. The very first time I used the dishwasher, it was empty. Manufacturer suggests running the dishwasher once without dishes. When I opened the dishwasher, it was wet inside. I was concerned that this was going to be a problem. However, after looking at many reviews and reading the manual, I found the easy solution. Use Finish drying rinse aid! I use the ‘Auto’ cycle and ‘Extra Dry’ selections. I never have a problem. The dishes are always dry. I’ve had this dishwasher for 6 weeks and I love it! This is the first dishwasher i’ve ever had where it actually washes the dishes!! I don’t have to pre-wash them before putting them in the machine. I will never buy another brand if dishwasher. Bosch is the best!!

Bosch dishwashers' flow-through water heaters increase water temperature inside the appliances, eliminating the need to pump hot water into them. The heaters can raise water temperature as high as 162 degrees Fahrenheit. In conventional dishwashers, water falls randomly onto a heater coil at the bottom of the appliances. These coils remain heated throughout the wash cycles, making them extremely hot. This often melts plastic items placed on the bottom racks. However, the Bosch dishwashers' flow-through water heater is confined, preventing its coils from damaging household items and ensuring water is heated more thoroughly. While traditional dishwashers only heat portions of the water that lands onto the coils, Bosch dishwashers heat 100 percent of the water that passes through its heating chamber between tightly spaced coils. The final rinse uses high-temperature water to make the dishes very hot. The stainless steel tub of the dishwasher cools faster than your dishes because stainless steel cools faster than glass and porcelain. Condensation occurs when the moist air in the dishwasher comes into contact with the cooler stainless steel tub, and turns into water droplets. These water droplets trickle down to the bottom of the dishwashers and are drained. Since it’s a closed system with no fan, the cleaning process is more sanitary. With no exposed heating element, plastic utensils and dishes placed on the lower rack will not melt. The use of rinse agents, such as Jet Dry®, aids the condensation drying process by reducing the surface tension of water. This in turn allows the water on your dishware surfaces to run off more freely, so they dry better. The Sanitize option on select models increases the time and temperature of the final rinse to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria, and enhances drying results.
