how do you clean the filter on the 500 series ? null

twist it out and wash it in your sink. super easy.

Just below the bottom rack, there is a trap that twists off. The center of that is the filter. It needs a simple rinse for cleaning.

Hi clearasglass, thank you for your question regarding Model:SHPM65Z55N. To clean the filter: Unscrew the Large Object Trap and remove the entire filter system. Remove the microfilter from the fine filter for easier cleaning. Rinse the filters under running water and use a soft brush to clean. Note: do not use abrasive brushes or steel wool, etc., as they may damage the filter. Reinstall the filter system in reverse sequence and lock into place by screwing the Large Object Trap until the marking arrows align.
