Thanks, then i guess my system has a software/electrical bug. I will contact support.

Hi Houston2024, thanks for your question. To power on the SHX78B75UC you only need to press the power button briefly. Holding down the power button will instead engage the unit's reset, this feature would normally only be used if you needed stop and clear another wash cycle mid wash.
