No, that's a rapidly disappearing dishwasher feature, I'm afraid. Bosch will tell you that their triple filtration is better, BUT: Now you've got a messy, nasty filter to clean. Oh, and if you forget to check and clean it after washing several loads of dishes? Well, you'll be running them through a second cycle after they all come out dirty and you figure out that the filter was clogged. No, thanks. I am far too busy to make sure that everyone in this busy household remembers to clean it. In fact, it was always on ME to remember and clean it. For what it's worth.

No, Bosch dishwashers do not have or need a "garbage disposal" since Bosch dishwashers have a three stage filtration process which removes 100% of food particles from the wash water. Plus, the up to 162 degree wash and rinse water softens and breaks down foods. In fact, Bosch recommends users DO NOT PRE-RINSE your dishes prior to placing into dishwasher, simply scrap off the larger food debris and place "dirty" dishes into the dishwasher. The remaining food activates the enzymes in today's detergents for maximum cleaning results.
