• A:Answer Nick, If you mean will these Bose speakers sound great if you are spinning vinyl on your LP-120 turntable that is connected of course to a receiver/amp the answer is an absolute yes. I have these speakers connected up to my new Yamaha receiver and my trusty old-old but great Dual Turntable from way back and they sound very, very good. If the question is can any turntable alone drive these or any speakers alone without amplification the answer is no. No offense intended at all.

Q: QuestionWhat direction should the 161 speakers curve in a 7.1 system when used as the 4 surround speakers? Should the back 2 be mounted as they are labeled left and right? This would make the curved speaker array project towards the side walls. Is that right?

• A:Answer They do not come with speaker wire. They come only with wall mounting brackets if you wish to mount them. Speaker wire can be gotten at any hardware store by the foot.

• A:Answer I would not recommend that. The speakers do come with (optional) plastic mounting brackets that hold the speaker up but you would then have to add some type of heavy duty clamp or double clamp and then clip them on a pole but even then the speakers are about 6 pounds each - so you would have to test and make sure that they are mounted in such a way so as not to tip over.
