Yes, the system would be compatible with the Accoustimas 6 Series 5 system but with two caveats.. 1) The Accoustimas 6 Series 5 system is a 5.1 channel speaker system and the TX-NR656 receiver is 5.1-7.2 capable. 2) Should you decide later to purchase the two additional Bose speakers and second subwoofer required for 7.2 mode, the existing Accoustimas module will not support those speakers. In the Accoustimas systems, all speakers connect directly to the Accoustimas Subwoofer module, and that module in turn connects to the receiver. Unfortunately the impiedence of the individual Bose speakers is different from standard theater speakers, so you will not be able to bypass the Accoustimas module and connect them directly to the receiver without destroying them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your receiver is a 7.2 channel AVR. The bose system is setup for a 5.1 speaker system. I have an Onkyo TX SR-353 AVR 700 watt and it sounds WOW with the Bose acoustimass 6 speaker system. Speakers sound Great!. You wont be dissaapointed.
