• The one thing to remember is that the Acoustimass System from Bose is a passive surround system. Comparing that to anything like this being powered equipment, you will instantly notice a drastic improvement in sound. I replaced my Acoustimass 700 Series Surround System from 1990 with a Bose Smart Soundbar, Bass Module and the Surround Speakers, and boy does it change the game. The biggest thing that makes it worth the money, you don't need an AV Receiver to run the speakers through anymore. Everything now is ran through Bluetooth and HDMI eARC connections.
