I was debating between the two as well, and while the Companion 20s offer deeper bass delivery and a wider range in frequency, don't be so quick to dismiss the Companion 2s with their low price compared to the 20s. I personally couldn't justify the price difference, so I went with the Companion 2s.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The answer lies in the decoder frequency range of your audio card in your computer. If your computer (i.e.other sound output device) cannot receive and decode certain frequencies which the more expensive speaker can amplify, the extra expense for the superior speakers may be wasted. In other words, I suggest you determine the weakest link in your sound reproduction system, and then choose speakers equal to that capability, so that you do not pay for speakers with the ability to amplify sounds which they never even get.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For the money you cant beat these. I had the money, listened to both and selected these. If I used my computer setup for tv and movies and all my music I might have bought the more expensive set.

This elegant speaker system can deliver full, natural spacious sound in front of a computer or across the room. The Companion 2 III speakers are designed to provide a stellar listening experience when you're in front of your computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I probably would, but there are better speakers than these for less money, like the Klipsch ProMedia Speakers in the photo below!
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The more expensive set does sound much nicer, but also costs $150 more.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These little speakers are perfect for a single room on an independent outside a whole house sound system. We had to get a splitter to adapt the cable but it was very inexpensive. The tv sounded so tinny...these have great sound for a low price.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been really happy with the quality of the Companion 2. Unless you expect to be using the speakers for your primary sound system, I don't think the extra cost is worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All Bose products are excellent, just depends on each individual and what you are willing to spend
