A:Answer Correct, no Bluetooth and they do not connect wireless to phones, etc. You don't have to use the 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) connector if you just want to help drown out the world, but you do have to use the cord if you want to listen to music, etc.
I do not have a Galaxy but I have used the headphones with both my iPhone 5 and the speaker port on my computer to use for transcription.
If you want awesome Bluetooth headphones I have loved using my Sony ones. I've had them about 7 years and used them about 8-15 hours a day and they do not show any sign of wear. They are not noise canceling though and I was having trouble working when the lawn guys were outside.
I hate using the cord and hope Bose comes out with some noise canceling that are Bluetooth.
I love these headphones though and hardly ever put my Bluetooth ones on anymore because you really start noticing how loud the things around you are!
Sony also had noise canceling headphones that were pretty comfortable also and sounded great with the music Best Buy had playing. I went with the Bose though because they were a little lighter and that makes a difference when you have them on so many hours every day.
