Is the microphone omni or uni-directional? null

It has 7 mics. 2 on the detachable mic and 5 built into the headphones. I believe the headphone mics use 4 for noise cancelling background noise and 1 for talking on the phone/ bluetooth device

It’s unidirectional. Sounds pick up mostly from the sound of your vice than background noise.
