Yes, However not if the headphones are turned on before the cord is plugged in and receiving a signal. e.g. plug headphones in and play media, once listening to your chosen entertainment without any noise cancellation then continue to turn headphones on; voila, now you can enjoy ;)

That means noise cancelling is working, however the audio signal via wire is not played in the headphones. When I turn them off I can hear some low quality sound, however the active noise canceling is not working since they are turned off.
