Yes, on the left earbud past the aux jack there is a bar you can push in and that will change it to active while the headphones are on.

On the QuietComfort Headphones, you can choose between two pre-configured noise-cancelling modes, Quiet (full noise cancellation) or Aware (no noise cancellation). "Aware" is the equivalent setting to turning the noise cancelling off.
