The Bose Solo 5 is bluetooth capable. If your lap top is equipped with a bluetooth adapter, you can connect to the speaker using bluetooth. It should be noted that the Bose Solo 5 is primarily designed to be used as a speaker system for a TV located in an average sized livingroom. You indicated you would like to use this speaker at a wedding. If the room you intend to use it in is much larger than an average sized living room, then it may not generate enough sound for your purpose.

You will have the ability to connect it to your laptop via two methods, either via Bluetooth for a wireless connection or with an auxiliary 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio cable. Please bear in mind that the Laptop needs to support audio streaming over A2DP to be able to connect to the speaker wirelessly.
