- Answer The SoundDock III is not compatible with the iPhone 4. It uses the newer “Lightning” connector and is made specifically to work with iPhone 5 and similar current Apple products. Our SoundDock II and Sound Dock Portable are both compatible with iPhone 4, but would need a “30-pin to lightning” adapter cable from Apple in order to work with the iPhone 5. Use of this adapter may be the only way to dock both phones on the same product. Alternately you might consider our Sound Dock 10 Bluetooth Digital Music System or our SoundLink Wireless Mobile product. Either would connect wirelessly via Bluetooth instead of through a physical docking connector. This makes them fully compatible for use with both iPhone 4 and iPhone 5.

- Answer The more expensive one has a remote that allows some control while not at the machine. the cheaper model has to be controlled at the docking station.

- Answer Thanks for your inquiry. The SoundDock Series III System is designed to accommodate a docked iPod or iPhone without a protective case on it. While some thinner cases may still allow for proper docking, you will most likely need to remove the case to ensure a proper fit. We hope this helps!

- Answer Thank you for your question. The SoundDock Series III system is designed to play music from a docked iPod or iPhone, and does not have an integrated AM/FM tuner. Internet radio apps, however, can certainly be played from a docked device. We hope this helps!

- Answer Thanks for your question. The SoundDock Series III speaker offers a 3.5mm auxiliary audio input on the rear. This will allow you to connect other audio devices, including a computer for audio playback. A 3.5mm male to male cable can be used for this setup. Thank you!

- Answer We do not make a docking style product designed for the iPad. A good solution for you might be either our SoundLink Bluetooth Mobile Speaker II or SoundLink Mini speaker. Both of these products connect to your iPad wirelessly through Bluetooth and are compatible with your iPad. Thanks!

- Answer Hello there. Great question! The SoundDock III puts out plenty of volume. Bose does not publish specifications such as output power because we do not feel they provide an accurate understanding of how the system sounds. That being said, the max power consumption of the system is 81 - 100 W

- Answer The SoundDock Series III speaker is compatible with iPods and iPhones which utilize the 8 pin Lightning connector. The speaker will certainly playback streaming content from a docked device, such as iTunes Radio and iHeartRadio. Thanks for your question!
