Q: QuestionFlashing Red light, even though it is on the charging cradle?Just after a few weeks of operation, my Bose Soundlink Mini Bluetooth's power led started flashing red, even though it was on the charging cradle. I didn't think much of it, since I thought it was not seated correctly on the charging cradle, so I lifted it off the charging cradle, and re-seated it back on the cradle again. The same thing happened after another week of usage. I repeated the steps I did during the first instance, and called Bose Technical Support yesterday. They claim there is nothing wrong with the unit, and that the power led would first turn yellow before flashing red. I admit, I have not been staring at the unit all the while I use it, but I have never seen it display yellow. Bose Tech Support claims there is nothing wrong with it, but in my opinion having the same thing occur twice in a span of one month indicates that all is not right. Any advice in this regard would be helpful!

• A:Answer Mine has worked very well. I have never gotten to red, but have recharged at yellow multiple times. Hope yours does the same.

Q: Questionwill my bluetooth connection work with the mini link bluetooth speaker when i am visiting france?i am traveling to paris and will have my iphone which has lots of music via spotify on it. will i be able to use the mini portable to play my music via the iphone?

• A:Answer Absolutely! Bluetooth is not like cellular. The connection is local and direct between the speaker and your smartphone/tablet/laptop. Just remember to bring the proper converter so you can charge it.

Q: QuestionWon't charge initiallyWe just bought a soundlink mini and are finding it won't charge (the red battery light is still flashing even after leaving it on all night). Never been used, it's brand new. Have we bought a dud?

• A:Answer I bought a device recently. The device charges pretty fast and tested my self playing whole day and it lasted 10 hrs for me. Probably you might got a defective device. Take it to best buy and they will swap it for sure.

Q: QuestionHow does the spoken word (the news)sound on the Bose sound link mini?I am more interested in hearing the News of the day and talk shows than in music, does this speaker make the spoken word clearer than normal TV sound?

• A:Answer I also use it mainly for news channels ina remote location, and I would say the voice quality is very good, although it is a bit heavy on bass, but not as heavy as others that I tried.

Q: QuestionAny update to the removing the auto-shut off feature?Hi Bose, Last month, you mentioned that Bose was working on a solution to make the auto-shut off feature optional on the Bose Soundlink Mini when it's plugged into the outlet. Any update on when this new feature will be available? Background: No need to auto-shut off because it's plugged in and won't lose power anyways. Does make it a BIG hassle to use the speakers because we have to turn it on EVERY time (totals +400 times/year), especially if we like it and want to use it regularly.

Q: QuestionTurning off itselfI bought soundlink mini last november in USA, and after few months the problems started. It begins to turning off after half an hour of playing and then more and more often. At the end every few minutes. I took it to certified Bose service in my country, and nothing really happened. First time it was there for about 18 days, and they did not do anything except reseting the device. Second time, 10 days ago, they told me they changed some things, but it still turns off after 30-40 minutes of playing. And that is not all about it. It looks like battery is bad, because the yellow and red lights are flashing after 12 hours of charging. I am totaly dissapointing about it, and it was not much in use. What can I do about it, I don't trust my service any more. Thank you for any sugestion. Bana

• A:Answer If this was me, I would contact Bose and say this is the third time I had to contact the company and would like a new soundlink mini because the two repairs have been nothing but a temporary fix. For $200, probably the most expensive mini bluetooth speaker on the market, it shouldn't be acting this way. I wouldn't accept anything less.

• A:Answer 1. Make sure you unit is on the metal pins of the charging base. 2. Occasionally in may not start up. Just turn off and on to re set.

• A:Answer Pretty sure the answer is "no". You can only charge with the AC adapter provided - one of the old-school adapters. A little bummed that one can't charge via USB, but I think that would make the charge time prohibitively long for the amount of charge required for this battery. I like the 7-hr battery life, so am ok with that.

Q: QuestionThe charging LED is green when I'm charging it but is still blinking yellow. This doesn't happy a lot.When I'm charging it the charging LED turns green but it is still blinking yellow in the background like it's normally charging. So is it fully charged? It's not much of a problem I just wanna know if it's a manufacture issue? This is the second time it happened when I used the cradle.
