QuestionCan the 120 be made into a surround sound system by adding 2 more speakers?

- Answer Hello Niss. The Bose SoundTouch 120 system is designed as a standalone home theater product with connections only for the included sound bar and bass module. You would not be able to add more speakers for a surround setup. We do offer a great surround SoundTouch system, the SoundTouch 520, which may be a great option for you. Thanks for the question!

QuestionSound bar distance from tvIf I hang my tv, how far away can the sound bar be from the tv without losing any quality in the sound? It would be on a table below and about 5 feet from the tv. If that is too far, can the speaker wire be put in a wall with spray foam insulation?

- Answer I think 5 feet is fine, you just need to run the calibration once you place it where you want it.

- Answer If you TV has an HDMI output yes for best performance but you can also use your normal Yellow/White/Red inputs to hook up. Highly recommend this system.

- Answer Hello Red, The dimensions of the control console are 2½" H x 12¼" W x 8¼" D. The Acoustimass Module is 14¾" H x 7¾" W x 11¼" D, and the SoundTouch adapter unit is 2" H x 9⅜" W x 2½" D .

QuestionWant to use a projector with system?Can I connect a Dvd player to the console then connect from the console to the projector from the tv hdmi output? The projector has hdmi input but it is not ARC. If not, can I go from the dvd player direct to the projector for the video not using the console video out?

- Answer Thats a great question. You can connect your DVD player to the Bose system and then connect the video out of the Bose system to your projector. In this case the ARC will not be a concern. ARC stands for Audio Return Channel, which allows audio from the video display (like a TV with Netflix built in) to send the audio back to the Bose system via the same HDMI cable that is being used for video.

QuestionBose sound touch 120 through the TVWhy is the sound through the TV not as rich or has the same depth as through the DVD. The bass and treble also do not appear to make any difference through the TV. My previously cheap home cinema system was better through the TV. Am I missing something?

- Answer Hello there. You should be getting great sound from your Bose SoundTouch 120 system. It's hard to say exactly what is causing the issue, but that's definitely something we can help you with. QuestionSpeker WireI am looking at purchasing this. The tv and soundbar will be above a window and the console is below it. I will want to put the HDMI cable and speaker wire to the soundbar in the wall. It will have to be about 12 feet long. What type of speaker wire will provide the best sound? If the speaker wire should not go in the wall, how far can the soundbar be from the tv?

- Answer Hello LW. Great question. The speaker wire that comes with the system is 10 feet long and is a proprietary cable. We also have a 20 foot cable available from our parts department at 800-380-4831. Please give us a call and we can help determine the best way to set your system up.

- Answer Thank you for asking. As opposed to a traditional am/fm tuner in this system, you can access radio stations, both local and global, through an app on your phone or tablet with the touch of a button.
