QuestionDoes this work with Apple airplay. In other words can I play music with my iPhone using its native music ap?

- Answer Unfortunately no. It doesn’t use Apple’s priority AirPlay which uses Wi-Fi for connectivity. You have to connect to it directly via Bluetooth for wireless streaming. Once connected, it works like a Bluetooth speaker as you can select it in any apps to play your music through the adapter.

QuestionI have an older Bose Soundtouch that I don’t believe is Bluetooth capable. It works off of WiFi but did all older (6-7 years old) have Bluetooth? If not can you make them Bluetooth capable?

QuestionI have a Bose surround sound speaker system, I’m trying to buy something to make it wireless. As of now the speaker must be plugged into the tv, will this work so I can move the speakers off my fireplace mantel?

- Answer NO! This is a SoundTouch product that either sends a wireless signal to it's peers or it can be plugged into an old amplifier for streaming.

QuestionSo I just bought a Soundtouch for an older Onkyo receiver with 4 Infinity speakers. Works great! I also have an older Yamaha amp with Klipsch speakers. Can I buy 2nd ST and link the (Bose) units together via the app and stream to all simultaneously?

You can connect the adapter to the amp that is powering your speakers, and then you will be able to stream music to the speakers from Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. - Answer Hi tlg22, Thanks for the great question! No, the SoundTouch Wireless link adapter would not work with the QC35II. It is designed for SoundTouch devices. - Answer You will need the Bose SoundTouch app available for free. You will connect the SoundTouch link adapter like any other peripheral to your receiver. Install the app on your phone and wirelessly connect via your home’s wireless network to the adapter. Within the app, there are several options for playback sources like internet radio, YouTube or Spotify. Choose your source and enjoy.

The SoundTouch Wireless Link Adapter is designed to connect to existing speakers, so you can play music in sync with multiple SoundTouch speakers over Wi-Fi. The SoundLink Mini II is a great sounding speaker. This model was not engineered to pair with other speakers. You can connect your speakers to any other Bose SoundTouch speakers if you add them to your home in the future. This wouldn't require the adapter, unless you wanted to sync music from an existing stereo system. - Answer No. This device is for wireless networking. You will need a Bluetooth adapter that is much cheaper.
