The Bose 700 speakers are about twice the size but have a higher output, I have not personally heard the 700 surround speakers, however I do have the surround speakers from Best Buy and I enjoy them. I considered returning them for the 700, but I like the low profile look of the small speakers - as they also have big sound. You can even find Bose stands for the speakers that look great!

The Bose Surround Speakers utilize the Virtually Invisible II cube speakers whereas the Bose Surround Speakers 700 utilize the 360 degree Omnijewel speakers giving a much more immersive experience in sound reproduction.
