• Thank you for your question. Bose offers a dipole antenna which can be plugged into the back of the radio.

• You can purchase a Wave FM antenna 9' long,2' Y Extensions for $9.99 from Bose for much more clarity if reception is bad in your area

• The Antenna is on the Power Cord, very smart idea from Bose and yes you can add another external antenna too. If you life in a house or building that don't have thick wall, you don't have to add external antenna. Mine works perfect!
