“Is installation really free, or do I have to pay for the dash kit and harness?”

• I had to pay for dash kit on my 2004 Silverado. I had an older pioneer in the truck previously and I think they just cut that harness and spliced. I also had a backup camera installed. Cost $130 for just the installation of the camera (plus the cost of camera).

• Free installation and free hardware are separate issues. You may have to purchase some hardware, depending on your vehicle, but the installation is free last I checked. Just because you may not get all of the needed hardware for free doesn't change that.
