It works as a "trimmer" on the neck. It's just a trimmer though, not a razor and not designed to remove hair all the way to the skin. You'll be left with stubble.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not 100% sure I totally understand the question. If you are asking if it will work for tightening up the back of the neck line…yes. The standard blade on the clippers don’t actually take the hair to the skin like say a disposable razor for example. It does come with a close shave adapter. I have never tried using it, but theoretically it should take it all the way to the skin if that is what you’re looking for on your neck. Hopefully this answered your question.
