A:AnswerI only drive shave with the razor but from what the manual and Brauns website says is that you can use shaving cream but rinse the razor in hot water real well before you put into the clean station.
A:AnswerI am visiting the Philippines and can confirm the shaver works off of 110 and 220 volts. I purchased the shaver in Colorado and the side of the plug says (in really fine print) “Input/Entrada 110-240V ~ 50-60Hz”.
A:AnswerI didnt use electric shaver for almost 10 years because of razor bumps but got tired of shaving with razor, wanted something more convenient. I've used braun 9 series for almost 2 months now and i have no complaints
A:AnswerThe shaver's cutting blades slide back and forth against the underside of the foil screen with all the little holes in it. Which means the cutting thickness of the shaver will be the thickness of the foil with all the holes in it. There is no adjustment.
This is the closest cutting shaver I have ever used since I began using electric razors in the 1970s. I'm on my second Series 9.
The only way to get a closer shave with the Series 9 Shaver would be to use a shaving foam or cream that makes your beard hair stand up straight and high. Barbasol has something in it that does that very well and seems to the best shaving foam for me. I've been using it for decades.
I use my Braun Series 9 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver in the shower. Here is my routine:
1. After I've soaped up and rinsed my body, I warm up the can of Barbasol by shaking it in the warm water streaming from the shower head.
2. Next, I squirt some Barbasol on my fingers and apply to my beard.
3. I wait a couple of minutes for the hair to stand up (you can feel that when it happens under the shaving cream).
4. Shave like you normally would with the Series 9 Shaver.
5. When I'm done shaving I rinse the shaver in the shower and set it on the shower shelf while I towel dry.
6. I take the shaver with me when I exit the shower and lean it against the wall on my sink screen down on a dry towel while I'm brushing my teeth. This wicks the water from the head of the shaver.
7. Last thing I do in the bathroom is remove the shaver from the towel and put it in the charging station and hit the clean button.
I've been doing that routine for years and I enjoy the best shaves I've ever had in my life. And I know about shaving because I spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force.
p.s. I've tried other methods of using electric razors such as shaving at the sink with pre-shaves and after shaves and shaving sticks. None of those come anywhere near the close shave I get using the Braun Series 9Wet/Dry Electric Shaver following the seven steps above.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYes it does have a bar, also the battery is pretty good. It can last too long. I use it 5 minutes every 2 days but in my case it can last more than 10 days without recharging again.
