I know this question has been up here and unanswered for awhile but I would make sure that you are using the correct cleaning cycle. My machine has at least two... One is the basic clean using little tablets and the other is more intense and descales and cleans the internal pipes and uses the entire water reservoir. If you go to the manufacturers website or even google there are a lot of videos on what exactly you need to do for each cleaning cycle, and once it's done properly (and everything is clean) the light will go off. I found that my machine requires minimal cleaning when using filtered/bottled water. When using unfiltered water the machine will need more regular deep cleaning/descaling. Hope this helps!
