I got the larger one and am so glad I did. It was on sale at the time. I use it for baking (banana nut bread), reheating, and for cooking small frozen pizzas and other frozen foods. I also use it for toast and for keeping food warm, e.g., pancakes. It takes a lot less time to preheat and the heat serves as a convection oven because of the close proximity of the food to the heat source. I live by myself although I often have my grandkids and other relatives/visitors over quite often. This really comes in handy when you want to prepare something quick for them and you don't want to or can't use the microwave.

I went into a Best Buy store to see in person the size of the two ovens and decided that the smaller model would suit my needs. I didn't need the convection function or the larger area inside the other model, so I decided on the smaller model which has proven itself to be the best choice for me. It can fit a 12" pizza, can make excellent toast just the way you like it, even choose a setting for bagels and other items where you only want the top to toast and it has many other settings that most people won't even use: toast, bagel, reheat, bake, broil, reheat, cookies, pizza. Plus, it is pretty compact, which is a plus because it takes less counter space and still gets the job done. I strongly suggest and recommend the smaller model, especially if you have a standard oven to bake larger items like Thanksgiving dinner, although this toaster oven can help with a side dish or dessert at that time too..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are only two of us in our house and this compact one is fantastic. I've done baking, roasting and toasting in mine with no problems with space. It fits medium sized roasting pans in there as well and is good for limited counterspace.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I live by myself and like the added features of the larger oven, especially that it's convection oven also. However, this review is for the Frigidaire Toaster/Convection Oven. I did; however, look and review the Breville in great detail and for the price savings I'm glad that I went with the Frigidaire. If you're stuck on Breville from my studying of the reviews I would go with the larger Smart Oven.
