Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually watched a YouTube video on this before I bought it, which is why I decided that would be a good coffee maker. You press down the two buttons that control your strength and how much coffee you’re making and then it starts to descaling process. Before that you need to either buy a descaling solution or I think it’s like 4 cups of vinegar, and you want to make sure that the tank is empty before you add in the vinegar. And turn off the grind function. if you rotate the knob that controls the strength all the way to the bottom, I think you turn it left so it goes down not up it will go to preground. And at that point, the grind function won’t turn on when you start to the descale. So turn the strength knob all the way, I think to the left so it goes down to pre-ground. Make sure the coffee pot is empty of water. run it if you have any water in there. Empty the carafe. Add in 4 cups of vinegar or a descaling solution to the tank. Then add in the rest of the water up to 12 cups, but don’t overfill. it’s best to have the basket holder in but you don’t need the basket. And press both the strength and the water level button at the same time and it should start the descaling process.
