Yes, you just need to put the Coffee directly on the gold filter or use a paper one if you want to. Also need to turn the nob that selects the grinding level all the way to the left until you see Ground Coffee so the grinder is disengaged. Works like a regular drip coffee maker. Happens when you run out of coffee beans unexpectedly but still keep a bag of ground French Roast in the freezer!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the BDC650BSS is compatible with pre-ground coffee as it includes a re-useable gold tone filter basket for pre-ground, a pre-ground mode accessed through the "Strength" menu which disables the grnider tmeporarily and furhtermoer is compatilbe with 8-12 cup flat botom paper filters if preferable to the re-usable gold tone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can add pre ground coffee into the basket. There is an option on the strength control knob to set it for pre-ground.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The question is: Can you grind coffee in this coffee maker and then brew it later. ex: grind at 10pm and brew at 3am (Shift worker doesn’t want to wake family). These answers are saying yes you can add ground beans. Which defeats the purpose of this particular coffee maker.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can place ground coffee in the basket. There is a selection for pre-ground to shut off the grinder. I discovered this when I realized I was out of whole beans. I referred to the manual. I have call ed the 1-800 number on a cleaning question and they were very helpful, but because they are Pacific Time, it's hard to speak to them at night when I'm prepping the the pot for the next day. Had to call from work, but they answered my question and I was able to get the task done when I got home.
