A:Answer The blue exterior is very dark with a hint of purple in it. The photos showed it lighter than it actually was, and it looked like it had a hint of teal rather than purple in some of the photos. I thought I would have preferred the lighter, less purple blue, but the color actually goes very well in my kitchen. The purple hint isn't too prominent. In some light, it almost looks black, but isn't as harsh as black would have been. I think it looks better where we placed it with the blue exterior than if we had gotten stainless steel, which was my back up choice.
