In my opinion, yes. Even heating, simple controls allow a wide variety of settings, but most of all, quality of craftsmanship. I looked at others and they're cheap alright, just not in the ways you will like. I have other Breville products and yes, they are expensive, but their products are worth the price. Solidly built, they will outlast the cheaper models and do a better job while doing it. It's a joy to use and it does its job. Do some searching on YouTube. You can hear and see the differences. This is a case of you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, it is very highly recommended.
