You can scan receipts but that thin receipt paper (like Walgreens or Kroger) you will have to hold/push carefully for it to be drawn into the mechanism. That is somewhat disappointing to me. However, for anything you scan, you can give it your own filename and send it to the desktop or into any folder you choose. As to directly into quick books, I'm not sure how that works as I do not use it. If you can pull other receipts you have from your desktop into your program, then that would work with these receipt scans. Most receipts I handle nowadays are in email or on heavier paper.
