YES; the paper tray has a button towards the back of the paper tray that when depressed allows the back of the paper tray to be extended to accommodate legal size paper. When the tray is placed back in the bottom of the printer it actually extends out the back of the printer slightly. It sounds a little funky but works quite well. The only drawback to the HL-L2395DW is the copy/scan glass on the top of the printer will NOT accommodate legal size paper. This is not a problem for me as I virtually never use legal size paper (as in once every few years). I hope this helps!

However, you can print on legal size paper by extending the tray. If you need to copy legal-size documents, you will have to get one of the models with an automatic document feeder.
