“Am interested in HP & Brother printers. But, as per BB guys, I have to buy a cartridge ($44.99) and drum ($107.99) separately, seriously 1 Is it necessary to buy a drum separately after a while? 2 If yes, after how many prints do I need to buy a drum?”

The HL-L2395DW comes with a starter toner cartridge and a full drum unit. The drum unit yields approximately 12,000 pages.

The toner cartridge that came with it indicated capacity for about 700 pages of print. I've been very happy with this printer. Highly recommend it.

There is no need to buy anything additional- the cartridge and drum come with the purchase. Of course you will have to buy more ink once it runs out as well as the drum once it is no longer useful. Speaking from experience with the 2270DW, which I've had for ... 8 years???... I believe I've only purchased a new drum once-certainly no more than twice and yes, that printer use is moderate-to-heavy.
