If you're printing that little per year you'll be fine for a while. The toner cartridges that come with the printer are supposed to last up to 1,000 prints. Replacement cartridges will last up to 3,000 pages. If you're only going to be printing 50 pages a year, I'm not sure you need a laser printer like this one. I would go with a more entry-level laser printer. The Brother HL L3270CDW may be good enough for you (it doesn't have a scanner though).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if you are only printing 50 sheets per year, I think this toner will last you several years. If only doing 50 sheets a year, I'd also recommend you look at a lower cost ink-jet. Laser Jets are generally better for high-volume use. That said, the toner here lasts a few hundred pages at least in my experience.
