Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm sure that by now you know the answer to this, but yes, you only replace the color cartridge that's out!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.most brother printers use individual ink tanks for the ink, so you only need to replace the ink for each color as needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would depend on the model of your printer. With my model you can replace each individual color including the black.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.any one of the cartridges can be replaced as needed. It is not necessary to replace ones that still contain ink
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my experience, probably not. I have the Brother J870dw. It's a decent all-in-one. A few years old now, but still works fairly well. The black ink cartridges have a higher capacity than the color, which makes sense, since most of your print jobs will likely be in B&W or greyscale. That's the good news. The bad news is that my printer in particular has difficulty printing when color ink gets low, or one cartridge is completely out, even if the job is B&W. Furthermore, if a color cartridge is removed, the printer will not print at all until it is replaced. I'm not sure if that is consistent across the Brother product line, but it is a limitation I have encountered with my model. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, each color is a separate cartridge, including black.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can but most of the time they all seem to run out close to the same time.
