As long as your office does not have 18" concrete between the upstairs and downstairs, and the router is placed as high as possible and unobstructed, it should work. If signal is too weak, the Netgear Powerline adapters or Zyxel work through brick walls through the power outlet lines. But I think it should not be needed if your computer downstairs can connect to the WiFi with a good signal. If your computer downstairs in the office is hard wired to the network, I suggest hooking up the printer to the hard wire connection as well, if at all possible. Scanning works best when you have a good connection, and scanning over weak WiFi might be a problem...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Within reasonable range. If you have working items downstairs then you should not have any issues. Downstairs shouldn't be an issue. It's more about your router, If need be just add an access point.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.depends on construction, obstructions, etc. but if you can move the router closer to the printer you will have better results. Also depends on the output of your router. Straight line of sight might be 30-40 ft. but signals going between walls-floors could be limited to 15 ft. Put the printer where you want and then go to printers and hold cursor over the printer and it will show either "ready" or "offline" Ready says you are connected and offline means you have to get the router closer to the printer. good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should not be a problem if your computer in your office gets a good signal from your wifi-router. My router and this printer are at the extreme opposite ends on the same floor of my house. There are at least 4 dry walls between them over a span of approx. 40 feet. No problem with the printer getting the wifi signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have mine on a 3rd floor of a 5000 Sq ft house. My router is on the 1st floor and they have no problem reaching and printing. Much better than any Canon I ever owned.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you get better than decent connectivity on your computer in your office then you shouldn't have a problem with the printer. Of course, it does have the USB connection if you do run into issues.
